Before you scroll through to all the pictures of this cutie, let me tell you a little bit of background. This beautiful little girl is the youngest of four kids and the family’s first girl. I’m pretty sure she is going to have everyone in her family wrapped around her little finger: mom, brothers, and especially her DADDY. There really is something to being Daddy’s little girl. I know when my husband and I had our first girl my husband was smitten (and still is). He would come home from work, dress her up in cute clothes with matching hair accessories, and just dote on her in a way that was different than the way he loves our boys. I have no doubt in my mind that this little girl’s daddy is going to be just like that. It is obvious that he adores her and wants to protect her like the little princess she is. I think anyone could see the adoration both parents have for this sweet little girl.
Heritage. Legacies. Heirlooms. The things we pass on to our children can bless their lives. We can gain so much by learning about the people that came before us. The decision to invest in photos can be a blessing to our own lives as a way of capturing memories, but they are also something that can and should be passed down from generation to generation. I really hope that one day baby Celeste’s kids will be able to see these photos. They can play the “who does she look like most” game when they have their own babies. Hopefully they will be preserved and passed on to their grandchildren and great grandchildren.
You can probably guess when you look through the photos that part of Celeste’s heritage is Native American. I found it so interesting to see and be told a little bit about some of the things you’ll see in these pictures. It’s great that they were able to tie so many meaningful and symbolic things into their photos. The single eagle feather represents purity. The pearl necklace is her mom’s from their wedding. The hat is her father’s (an officer in the USN). The Jade Necklace, Headdress, and Eagle feather are parts of her Native American Heritage. The purple heart necklace was made for her by her father (see what I mean about the doting dad thing 😀 ). They actually sell these beautiful necklaces and other Native American stuff if anyone is interested in seeing the great things in their shop (click here to check it out).
